Four reasons to eat more fruit

Once summer hits I start to crave fruit. Fruit salads, fruit smoothies, grilled fruit and just mounds of fresh chopped fruit. There are so many benefits to fruit that it makes it an easy choice for a healthy summer snack. Ditch any fruit that is canned, in syrup or packaged and just go for the fresh stuff. You can get creative by making different smoothies and freezing them in popsicle forms or even popping them on the BBQ and grilling them. Peaches and pineapple are amazing grilled!

Handy tip: Food combining by having  fruit on it’s own can reduce gas and bloating.   Remember that fruit  breaks down and moves through your digestive system really quickly so it’s best to eat it on it’s own, 20 min before or after other food.
